Red Light Radio Performance, 24 April 2013, Amsterdam

I did a performance at Red Light Radio for a SOTU Showcase edition.

It was a pre-listen - with my sound system backpack - on a similar approach and action that will take place in the Vondelpark on 11th of May.

It was hosted by Inspector Casino (aka Hans Kuiper) with artists Cairo Liberation Front and Damcase.

SOTU Performance at Vondelpark, Saturday 11 May 2013, Amsterdam

For SOTU I will make a sound performance in the Vondelpark. Reflecting on the overlap of artificial simulation of nature and nature's organic bending of the park. It's an attempt to establish new relations between sound, the listener and architectural designed environment. Creating amplified textures by capturing the subtle and hidden as they unfold themselves into audible manifestations. Making use of the context and inter-reacting sonically, formulating an improvised language. Using self-made instruments and microphones, sampling the park with a backpack sound-system. You can join me in search for the inner park mantra and bird calls.

The performance takes place in the park on Saturday afternoon starting & ending at the Vondelbunker. From 16:30 till about 19:30.

I will wander mainly in the B and C area indicated on the map below. The map also includes static intervals reaching for higher heights, these sonic embodiments are marked as red crosses.
